Purpose of Role
  • The Change manager will be responsible for the identification of change enablers as part of the transformation agenda; assessing the impact on business processes, system, roles & organisational structures; developing and implementing necessary intervention plans that will drive the required change such that business results are achieved.

  • Identify change enablers across  multi initiatives & work streams
  • Develop effective change intervention plans and embed across functions.

  • Work with the PMO to identify and develop change intervention plans across multi initiatives, required to deliver the operational benefits of the productivity agenda
  • Lead the transitioning and embedding of change initiatives, minimise business disruptions and ensure effective integration of change plans into the business.
  • Engage and manage senior stakeholders by communicating progress updates, issues, developments on change programmes; providing appropriate insight for better decision making on the approach & direction of the change.
  • Measure and monitor the impact of the change, assess inherent risks and take cause corrective actions on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications and Experience Required
An Ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent), should have at least 5years Project Management experience and must have demonstrated the following:
  • Good facilitation skills and ability to take an idea from conception right through closure.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the business environment
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and manage conflicts
  • Effective senior stakeholder management
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Risk management skills.

Job Title: Route To Consumer - Finance Lead

Location: Lagos

Organisation: Reports to the market Route to Consumer Director.


Context:
A finance role that requires functional expertise and high leadership standards. The Route to Consumer (RtC) Finance lead is responsible for leading the Cost to Serve analysis, investment modelling for supply & commercial, and ensuring a transformational solution for working capital constraints through the full chain (retailer, distributor, wholesaler, Diageo). This individual will be involved and accountable for all stages of the Route to Consumer transformation, including Diagnosis, Design, Pilot and Implementation.

This is a hands-on position that has a key leadership role to deliver the overall Route to Consumer –Finance Framework.

Key Outcomes:
  • Lead the Route to Consumer Finance work streams during all stages of the Route to Consumer transformation; Diagnosis, Design, Pilot and Implementation
  • Lead the Cost to Serve analysis and modelling against the various Route to Consumer models. It will be imperative that the incumbent delivers both the analysis as well as the insight generation and highlights the impact of various outcomes.
  • Co-Define the commercial trade terms for Distributors and 3rd party customers with in market Commercial lead and Supply lead
  • Lead all product pricing modelling and deliver recommendations
  • Lead analysis on current investment levels, provide recommendations on commercial and supply investment levels that support the delivery of the Route to Consumer models to be implemented
  • Complete all CAPEX analysis and recommendations
  • During the Diagnosis phase provide key financial data and information to help share the output of the Diagnosis and vision setting phase
  • Active participation in the in-market governance as well as Africa Regional governance (to include members of Diageo Africa Executive & Global Route to Consumer team)

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist and support the General Manager DBN to deliver the AOP growth aspirations plus overlay targets in F14 and beyond
  • Assist DBN General Manager in establishing the evolving route to market assessment for Spirits in Nigeria including a plan for correct COGS & efficient SKU’s for long term growth
  • Support and lead Spirits Brand growth with Marketing Director by developing & implementing the code for growth for Spirits
  • Lead the development of the local Game Plan and lead the categories in the Joined up Business Planning (JUBP) process
  • Work with the in-market teams & commercial managers to turn the Spirits annual GAME brand plans into “executable” commercial plans and assist with the development of missing growth drivers.
Requirements
  • University degree in Marketing / Business or other related discipline preferred
