Job Title: Cost Analyst

Job Description
  • As our Cost Analyst for the Nestlé Waters business, you will provide support to the Factory in the pursuit of cost optimization, adequate internal control and compliance.
  • By providing visibility and insight into manufacturing variances, the integrity of financial reporting will be ensured. You will work closely with manufacturing to understand how they impact on financial result.
Key Responsibilities
  • Be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives and seek, support cost improvement opportunities.
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly variances; analyze, challenge and investigate variances.
  • Review and validate factory reporting of weekly actuals and provide these reports to facilitate meetings thereby ensuring transparency and reliability of information.
  • Perform financial simulations, product costing and CAPEX evaluations as required.
  • Coordinate and provide inputs for budgeting, capacity runs, planning and for dynamic forecast.
  • Analyze actual cost of production and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Coordinate monthly and year-end inventory.
  • Perform budgetary control and raise flags where appropriate, as well as assist on necessary and on-time corrective actions
Profile
  • B.Sc. or HND (Minimum of 2.2 or Lower Credit respectively) in Accounting or Finance.
  • Must be ICAN / ACCA Certified.
  • Must have 1 year post NYSC experience in Accounting & Costing in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Manufacturing costing experience, ideally within a factory or supply chain environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office package skill proficiency, including intermediate skill level in Excel, Word, basic PowerPoint and Access; SAP (or the equivalent ERP) experience.

  • The Sales Analyst is the Co-pilot to the branch sales management team.

Description
  • To carry our tasks proactively with other functions to identify, disseminate and apply sustainable improvement activities of Quality, Cost, People and Service at the Factory using Industrial Performance techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establishes standards and performance measures according to IP-GI's and ensure the application in the factory
  • Challenge the standards in order to identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure establishment of (KPIs), their use to support business objectives and coordinate the updating regularly on the notice boards
  • Drive cost savings, tracks the results of cost saving improvement initiatives using the appropriate tool (Operation Excellence Tracking Tool)
  • Co-ordinates and supports the implementation of continuous improvement: NCE, On site problem solving.

Nestle Nigeria Plc Vacancy for Technical Training Programme 2013

Nestle Nigeria Plc has vacancy for its Technical Trainee programme in Nigeria - We are the leading nutrition, health and wellness Company in the world and the industry reference for financial performance. We are seeking to up-skill self-driven, motivated and qualified young individuals to acquire both theoretical and practical technical skills at our Technical Training Centre in Agbara.

Job Title: The Nestle Technical Training Programme

The Centre offers 18-month multi-skill, theoretical and rigorous vocational training in three core disciplines:
  • Mechanical maintenance activities
  • Electrical / Instrumentation / Calibration maintenance activities
  • Introduction to Automation maintenance

Learning Facilities

The Centre is ideally located in the middle of engineering activities in the factory. It is well equipped with the following facilities: modern classrooms, standard library, computer and technical drawings rooms, state-of-the-art electrical / instrumentation / automation and mechanical workshops.

The students are exposed to industrial work experience in the various plants within the factory. Trainees are continuously assessed and appraised during the period of training.

Overseas Training
The best five students on completion of the programme will be sponsored by Swiss embassy to do a 3-month internship at a Nestlé Factory in Switzerland. The sponsorship is part of a bilateral Migration Partnership Agreement between Switzerland and Nigeria.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have obtained the following qualifications not earlier than 2011.

Minimum of Lower Credit in Ordinary National Diploma (OND) issued by a Nigerian Polytechnic in any of the following (or related) fields of study:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electrical Installation & Maintenance Practice
  • Applied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics)
  • Applied Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Industrial Measurement and Control / Instruments Mechanics Work
  • Automation Engineering
In addition, candidates are mandatorily required to have five O’ Level credits or equivalent obtained in one sitting in the following subjects: Physics, Mathematic, English Language, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing.
