We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

Objective

  • The Internal Audit Manager is responsible to develop audit procedures, plan and conduct internal audits with a focus on the commercial, financial, and operational aspects of the airline and to ensure that the company’s assets are adequately protected.
  • Prepares and communicates audit findings and recommendation to management and the audit committee.
  • The Internal Audit Manager will work with minimum supervision. 
  • A critical success factor will be how to professionally interact with other managers maintaining the highest organisational and professional integrity.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Agrees audit plan with CEO and Audit Committee.
  • Assesses the company’s financial, operational and IT procedures, system implementations in order to determine the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations; the safeguarding of assets; and the economical and efficient use of resources as scheduled on the audit plan.
  • Develops and delivers audit plan on time, including resource budget, field work and draft report.
  • Identifies and evaluates the company’s risk areas including whistle blower investigations.
  • Responsible for the planning and performance of internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and to ensure compliance and prepare accurate audit reports.
  • Develops and evaluates procedures and processes to address areas of audit concern.
  • Conduct ad hoc audits as requested by the Executive management team and Audit Committee.
  • Manages 3rd party audits including local authority audits, audit firms or fraud investigations.
Person Specifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting Commerce or related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience at a senior level within aviation, large accounting firm or blue chip business
  • Preferable Knowledge of airlines useful but not essential.
  • Demonstrable Strong technical Audit Skills, high degree of knowledge of internal controls, finance and accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Risk based Audit Techniques.
  • Experience in Fraud exposure and Detection.
  • High initiative, professional curiosity, excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must be able to build working relationships at  all levels from SVP to secretary.

Etihad Airways is recruiting to fill the vacant position of: Reservation and Ticketing Supervisor to be based in Lagos.

Job Title: Reservation and Ticketing Supervisor
Location: Lagos

Job Purpose
Successful incumbent will supervise all front desk activities to optimize all guest interactions and satisfaction whilst ensuring compliance with all Etihad ticketing policies and procedures and high standards of customer service delivery to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
  • Supervise the efficient operations and monitor performance of the assigned team in order to achieve revenue, yield and volume targets.
  • Ensure team compliance with all EY reservation policies and procedures and standards of guest service (i.e. handling guest problems, answering telephone enquiries within 3 rings, pre-flight checks, timeliness, grooming, courtesy etc)
  • Handle day-to-day problem resolution, escalating to higher levels as required.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, staff roster and leave records
  • Coach, counsel and motivate the team, evaluate performance in a meaningful way that recognizes staff achievements and provide opportunities for skills enhancement (i.e. schedule training in AUH, shadowing for new joiners etc);
  • Keep self and the team up to date on product, service, policies and procedures through regular team meetings ensuring communication and understanding by team members.
  • Ensure all monies accounted for and TSR tallies
  • Ensure ticket stocks are correctly logged, stocked, stored and all material properly stocked and displayed.
  • In a state of flight disruption, ensure liaison with all involved (guests and colleagues alike) is managed in a positive manner and that revenue and guest satisfaction requirements are maintained
  • Responsible for having queues, PTA issues, TODs and re-issues completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Successful candidate must have right to live and work in Nigeria.
  • High school graduate, Three to five years airline or travel agency experience in a reservations and ticketing role with at least two years supervisory experience. With ability to work under pressure and to short lead times and working on own initiatives.
Training and knowledge:
  • Etihad reservation system *AMADEUS* - courses in reservations and ticketing
  • Airline advanced passenger tariff and pricing course
  • Recognized IATA or knowledge in rules and regulation of airline restrictions
  • Coaching skills
  • Good written and oral English language skills
  • Good PC skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
  • Numerate

Job Specifications:

  • Work together with Technicians to provide technical support and rectification action in response to operational problems, incidents and AOG situations, minimising the impact of operational disruptions and cost.
  • Assist in Air Safety Reports investigations as required.
  • Be able to provide technical support in other technical areas
  • Liaise closely with Flight Operations (Fleet Managers), Engineering Development, Maintenance Control, QA, Materials Management, and Line Maintenance, providing maintenance services to the airline.
  • Support all Certifying Engineers through the provision of spares, parts and manpower provisions ensuring the fleet is maintained to the highest standard
  • Review personal training needs as required.

Requirements:

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS.

Job Description: • The satisfactory completion and certification of all line maintenance and defect rectification work required by Arik Air or other contracted operators/customers, in accordance with the work specification.
• Ensuring that the organisation’s procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance.
• Ensuring, through the workforce under his control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and the NCAA.
• Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance by establishing a programme of training and continuation training using :-
i. Internal and external sources.
ii. On-the-job instruction and evaluation.
iii. Examination/testing as necessary
• Keeping a record of all training and experience of maintenance-related personnel.
• Ensuring that all sub-contract orders are correctly detailed and that the requirements of the contract/order are fulfilled in respect of inspection and quality control.
• Responding to quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which he is responsible, which arise from independent quality audits.

Required skill set & Qualification:
• AME License Engineer type rated
• 5 – 10 years minimum experience of Line Maintenance at least 3 years on type, Licensed on Airbus 330/340, with experience of any of the following would help; Boeing 737 classic/ng, CRJ900 , Q400 and HS125-800 preferable with line operations
• Good Leadership skills & attention to details
• Good Knowledge of Technical support functions , MEL and maintenance planning systems
• Good It Skills and a Knowledge of current MRO IT Systems
• Good communication skills and Strong organizational Skills

Arik Air Vacancy : MCC AOG Spares Officer

Arik Air is West-Africa’s leading airline, and we recruit for the position of a MCC AOG Spares Officer. We operate a domestic, regional and international flight network. It operates mainly from two hubs at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Arik Air’s head office is the Arik Air Aviation Center on the grounds of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State.

We are recruiting to fill the below position of:

JOB TITLE: MCC AOG SPARES OFFICER
LOCATION: Lagos – Nigeria

JOB SUMMARY

To work on a 12 4×4 shift to provide 24hr AOG/IOR Spares support of the Arik fleet.
The main role will be to provide Spares support for the entire fleet meaning there is a focal point for AOG/IOR ordering, chasing and delivery 24/7 reducing delays and saving costs.
The role will liaise with Engineering to ensure parts are identified and ordered.
Liaise with MCC Engineering to coordinate fleet planning.
Coordinate the prompt supply of Spares to the Aircraft. When not dealing with AOG IOR tasks, they will carry out routine/ stock replacement, ordering, updating of Arik systems and planning for maintenance inputs.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
You will work with the MCC Engineers and the Arik Procurement logistics team

JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide AOG/IOR Spares support for the Arik Fleet, to minimise downtime  due to spares requirements
Ensure that parts have been identified and ordered by engineering within 12 hrs
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics companies to ensure parts are sourced, ordered, shipped and delivered in the most cost effective, timely manner
Provide support to the Procurement team as directed by the Business Manager in ordering Routine items, stock replacement and planning for maintenance visits
Update Company IT Systems and provide daily reports.
Liaise with MCC engineers to ensure maximum spares information available to make informed Fleet decisions
Provide support on secondment as required to support Base Maintenance inputs

REQUIRED SKILL SET & QUALIFICATION
Must have 10 years minimum experience within the Aircraft Spares/Engineering industry, primarily within the large commercial aircraft sector
Experienced on Airbus 330/340, Boeing 737 classic/ng, CRJ , Dash 8 and HB125-800 preferable
Good Knowledge of current Aviation IT systems and good IT  skills
Good communication skills
