Job Purpose
  • The individual will play a key role in developing and maintaining a robust control environment in the branch/cluster and across the bank in general.
  • He/she will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and advising on compliance with business, global, regional, and local AML & compliance policies, procedures, and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation of all applicable compliance and AML/CFT programs at the branch/cluster level;
  • Ensure all compliance reviews/reports are being performed timely, are adequate and appropriately documented;
  • Monitoring compliance to regulatory and internal policies, processes and procedures by staff in the branch/cluster;
  • Daily resolution of compliance issues emanating from the branch/cluster in line with all applicable regulatory requirements  and internal policies and liaising with the Head Office as necessary; 
  • Monthly reports on compliance Status of the branch/cluster to the Chief Compliance Officer;
  • Reporting all forms of compliance breaches to the Chief Compliance Officer;
  • Bringing to the attention of the Chief Compliance Officer any suspicious transaction/activity;  
  • Carrying out compliance advisory services to the branches covered;
  • Liaising with local Regulators, Law Enforcement and other Governmental Bodies and ensure good relationships with the same;
  • Work closely with the Business and other key stakeholders such as Operations & Technology to identify and mitigate the risks associated with existing and new business with emphasis on higher risk customers and transactions;
  • Attend to and where necessary, lead compliance related customer interactions;
  • Contribute to a “no surprise” compliance culture by developing and delivering compliance training programs including providing annual face-to-face training and developing and delivering any other relevant periodic targeted training to employees in the branch/cluster (new hires, transfers and existing staff);
  • Raise the visibility of compliance by specifically improving the compliance risk assessment and compliance testing standards at the branch/cluster; and
  • Manage ad hoc compliance related projects as required.
Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in the Banking sector
  • Experience of at least 3 major areas of banking operations
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations
  • Experience in compliance monitoring reviews, e.g. account opening or periodic reviews
Skills:
  • Strong written and personal communication skills

Job Purpose
  • The goal of the Compliance Testing Team in EMEA is to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and to perform planned reviews against regulatory requirements and pertinent processes.

Job Background/Context
The Compliance Testing team exists to assist in the management and oversight of Compliance risk in the following ways:
  • To complete Compliance Reviews using a strong, independent and consistent global process

  • To ensure that effective and timely corrective actions plans are in place to address any areas of compliance risk that are identified.
Key Responsibilities
  • The Compliance Testing Officer ('The Officer') will perform analysis against regulatory risks and associated controls and conduct testing of these in accordance with predetermined standards and test programmes
  • The Officer will be involved in reviews covering various businesses and processes across all sectors
  • The Officer will work on reviews both in the capacity of lead reviewer as well as participant in the reviews led by other team members
  • The Officer will perform remote reviews, both through the centralised capture of data amenable to sample-based and testing and through the development of virtual review teams, able to be directed by the Officer towards the collaborative execution of a review
  • Based in the regional office (Abidjan, Nigeria) the officer will work with various countries in providing consultancy on control issues surfaced during compliance reviews in the respective countries
  • Reviews will be conducted based on both those planned for the year (thematic, horizontal, targeted, ad-hoc) or on account of regulatory and/or business/industry issues
  • The Officer will work on individual projects assigned from time to time within the Compliance Testing remit

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities
The following are the specific tasks and responsibilities of the Counter Service Teller:
  • Perform LCY/FX cash transactions over the counter at the branch.
  • Reconcile FX collections from implant location to resolve issues with collections
  • Hold custody of FX cash in the vault.
  • Handling/processing of all over the counter collections.
  • Ensure all customers’ requests/instructions are complete with proper documentation in line with applicable regulations and guidelines of Central Bank of Nigeria, tax laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, U.S. anti-boycott and anti-money laundering guidelines, Citigroup policy and local procedures.
  • Time-stamp (validate) and signature-verify all customers’ requests and refer those that require call-back/status approval to supervisor for action.
  • Ensure transactions are not processed for SDN names and sanctioned countries by checking the SDN list prior to processing transactions.
  • Report all qualifying transactions processed in line with existing NDLEA limits.
  • Ensure appropriate charges are applied as per bank’s charges list, applying concessions where applicable.
  • Process all customer requests within the standard turnaround time and without error.

Primary Purpose
  • The Customer Service role is a Front Office function responsible for attending to the bank/walk-in customers' needs, requests and inquiries. This is an important role given the fact that one of the most critical issues in banking today is the delivery of high quality service to customers and which has a direct impact on satisfaction, loyalty and revenue.
  • The purpose of the Customer Service function is therefore to provide outstanding service in an easy, consistent and timely manner to customers as part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving quality in the front office.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Chequebook requests - Receipt of customer cheque book requests, processing on Orbiflow, collection of cheque-books from Documentation & Account Services and recording in the register.
  • Receipt and review of mandate changes and dispatch to Documentation and Account Services.
  • Receipt and review of transactions media from customers e.g. Telegraphic Transfer requests, FX purchases requests etc. and dispatch to appropriate processing units
  • Returned Cheques Handling - Receipt from Clearing, recording in the Returned Checks register and advising respective RMs/CSR, and writing of letters to Customers.
  • Writing of acknowledgement letters to Customers whenever a checkbook is released to their representatives or third parties within 24 hours.
  • Daily receipt of processed drafts from funds transfer and management of Managers check delivery to customers.
  • Weekly reconciliation of the managers register and reporting of outstanding drafts for customers collection.
  • Attending to all walk-in customer requests and enquiries (e.g. account balances enquires and account statement requests).
  • Stop Payments Order (SPO) Processing - Effecting stoppage of cheques on Flexcube and tracking of documentation in respect thereof.
  • Rendition of various reports - Uncollected returned checks over one month, weekly report for uncollected chequebooks, Volume statistics report, Chequebooks (over 30days) for destruction, SPO Charges report.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and institutional policies
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and security of customer and transactional information stored in any form (images, application files, databases, spreadsheets, papers, registers, files etc.) in line with local procedures and departmental designations.
