Job Title: District Development Manager

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose/Scope
  • This job exists to achieve GSK Sales (volume and value) and point of sale visibility objectives in assigned territory and to expand GSK business frontier in catchment areas within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Territory Sales team to achieve sales targets (volume and value) and customer relationship expectations
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to adapt trade programmes to the territory's reality
  • Manage, train, inform and motivate Account Executives/Sales Officers/Partners Reps in order to deliver sales and distribution activities that are superior to the competition in respect of both core and added value services
  • Develop and implement sales coverage plan for the territory to optimise reach across channels
  • Responsible for new business development /expansion drive in territory.
  • Drive the team's adherence to company process & procedures.
  • Propose goals and set ASMART KPIs for direct reports and track performance.
  • Identifying business opportunity and prospecting new Accounts based on commercial viability in designated areas within territory.
  • Create and manage the territory wholesaler network.
  • Champion Point of Purchase visibility activations in the territory.
  • Manage engagement with local authorities, transport/ traffic agencies and other stakeholders to avoid disruption of GSK operations in the territory.
  • Actively involved in anti-counterfeit surveillance.
Qualifications, Experience
  • A good first degree.
  • At least 4 years Field Sales experience in a FMCG or related company.

Job Title: Nutritional Detailing Representative

Reporting To: Nutritional Detailing Manager

Job Purpose/Scope
  • Implement Consumer Healthcare (CH) Nutritional Expert strategies through detailing calls on Paediatricians, Nutritionists, General Practitioners and Nurses as defined in the detailing plans.
  • Work with Nutritional Detailing Manager and Medical Commercial Manager to build strong Expert recommendation for GSK Nutritional brands.
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve detailing target, sales growth and market share objectives for designated CH products in the territory through optimal detailing and medical commercial activities and one to one calls with GPs, Paediatricians, Nutritionists and Nurses
  • Dissemination of product information to Health care practitioners (HCPs) via clinical meetings/seminars, detailing, newsletters, conferences and other effective channels
  • Conduct efficient planning for detailing activity in own territory including achieving stipulated call and clinical meetings/workshop targets with appropriate documentation
  • Achieve agreed volume targets on promoted products into institutions and private clinics
  • Increase recommendation rates of CH brands among HCPs by establishing the key benefits of the brands
  • Ensure daily entry of call information and updated customer information into Med-e-Rep
  • Conduct detailing activities in accordance with GSK Commercial Ethics Code and appropriate operating procedures
  • Ensure timely reporting of calls, clinical meetings, product performances, market intelligence on customer and competitor activity in Med-e-Rep.
Qualifications, Experience
  • A good first degree in a Science related course.
  • 2 - 3 years work experience in a related field (preferably Nutritionists, Biochemists or Microbiologists).
  • A related post graduate degree will be of advantage.

  • Good knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics and patho-physiology of disease.
