Job Summary

Provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director Finance in an effective and efficient manner.

Principal Functions

  • Provide administrative and logistics support to Director Finance and the Finance team.
  • Ensure high standard office practice/management.
  • Write and disseminate mails/messages as may be directed by the Director Finance
  • Organise and manage the Director Finance itinerary.
  • Organize travel requirements (transportation, accommodation and logistics) for Director Finance.
  • Arrange and take minutes at the weekly departmental meetings.
  • Acts as first line support to visitors, both local and international
  • Manage stationery items for the department.
  • Plan and organize departmental events.
  • Maintains a good record system and ensure a seamless flow of information from the Director Finance's office to other staff.
Educational Requirements
  • A good Bachelor's degree/HND in relevant discipline.
Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • Minimum One (1) year post NYSC experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office such as outlook, excel, word and power point.

Job Title: Senior Program Officer

Basic Functions:
As a member of the State Management Team, working with the State Program Manager, the SSPO provides oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all FHI Nigeria activities in the assigned state.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide management support to the state office and IAs focusing on work plans, sub agreement management, periodic fund requests, review of MFRs/SFRs, and reporting.
  • Develop and oversee execution of systems for initiation, implementation, monitoring, amendment and close out of all SIDHAS IAs’ sub agreements.
  • Ensure that FHI delivers on all its promises to donors and other stakeholders (achieve set targets, deliver quality services).
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with donor and FHI policies by the state office and IAs.
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring of sub grants to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals.
  • Guide and support the state office and IAs in establishing sound management systems to ensure cohesive implementation of project activities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems that effectively respond to USAID/Nigeria requirements regarding implementation procedures, reporting and evaluation.
  • Coordinate capacity development efforts in support of state and IAs’ staff and other partners.
  • Ensure availability of technical resources and integrate their efforts into overall program management.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing and disseminating best practices in the project through the identification of project learning sites and technical support to the program.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders and collaborators to share information, coordinate activities and avoid duplication in the implementation of the programs.
  • Remain informed on the current programs in the HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria fields by review of current literature and is alert to any implication of such strategic information for project activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of health and development programming in a developing country.
  • Basic accounting and financial management skills.
  • Working knowledge of major donor policies (USAID, Global Fund) as well as international not-for- profit organizations.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
  • Proven ability to coordinate a multi-sectorial development project.
  • Excellent community mobilization, advocacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize systems to monitor administrative and implementation results.
  • Report to supervisor on variances and status on regular basis.
  • Work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow.
  • Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner.
  • Use a computer to accurately and rapidly enter and retrieve data and information.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines, as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25%.
Qualifications and requirements:
  • BS/BA in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 7 – 9 years of relevant experience with international development programs.
  • Or MS/MA degree in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 5 – 7 years relevant experience with international development programs.
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.

Job Summary
Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic regional plan to maximize acquisition, retention, sales and profit within the territory. You will also provide leadership and strategic direction to team members and be responsible for the delivery of our legendary customer service to our growing subscribers within the territory.

Principal Functions
  • Monitor and analyse key trends in the retail channel and identify potential market opportunities to enable the achievement of extra - ordinary Business results.
  • Review the unit's activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the territory.
  • Identify required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit's strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage relationship within the industry to generate and expand business opportunities for EMTS.
  • Drive Stores adherence to the QDVP3 tenets to deliver our legendary Customer Experience
  • Assign sales targets to the Stores and identify and implement specific action plans to enable timely realization of sales plans.
  • Oversee all daily retail sales and service activities in the territory.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of EMTS products and solutions and interpret retail customer needs to facilitate new value propositions tailored to meet the specific needs.
  • Prepare/compile Stores inventory positions and monitor adherence to inventory thresholds.
  • Document and discuss sector specific value propositions with the Head, Regional Retail Sales.
  • Identify and manage High Value Individual accounts within the territory.
  • Propose/initiate specific sales campaigns aligned with retail standards and guidelines.
  • Lead the implementation of the retail channel programs and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
  • Develop commission /bonus models and present suggestions to the Head of Region.
  • Plan and manage the human and material resources of the territory to optimize performance and enhance productivity.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage team performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
  • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of Head, Regional Retail Sales.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Region.
Educational Requirements
  • First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

Job Title: Environmental and Quality Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain and perform the compliance review of dangerous goods policy, Material Safety and Data Sheet (MSDS) program, industrial waste management program, recycling program, spill prevention program, facility inspection program, and other requirements to meet regulatory standards.
  • Establish and maintain environmental sustainability requirements using statistical process control methods and management information systems to analyze data, current standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and to evaluate policy effectiveness.
  • Perform field work as required including facility and terminal audits and inspections and lead or assist in investigations including environmental complaint and follow-up.
  • Investigate complaints, perform inspections, and audit work of outside contractors to ensure they maintain environmental compliance to meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain action plans that are generated against incident investigations, audits and inspections and ensure completion of corrective actions within agreed timelines.
  • Identify, create and/or coordinate training programs needed by the terminal to comply with environmental regulations.
  • Participate in local or global environmental initiative projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments such as Operations and Technical Department to audit, inspect, gather data, track and report environmental compliance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external stake holders such as contractors, Nigerian Ports Authority, Customs and other regulatory affairs through preparing for external audits/inspections, ensuring compliance from external companies operating within terminal boundaries, communicating relevant environmental information to external parties and provide coordination with regulatory agencies in regard to hazardous materials handling.
  • Develop requirements according to ISO 14001 certification standards.
  • Keep informed of current and proposed regulations related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in physical or biological science
  • Certificate in Environmental Management
  • 5 years experience in a field related to health, safety and environmental management including a working knowledge of hazardous materials handling including hazardous wastes, Dangerous Goods, and other hazardous/biological pollutants.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in a heavy equipment industry
  • Background in Health, Safety and Environment will be an added advantage.
  • IMDG Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system.
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Ability and willingness to work some early mornings, evenings and weekend days.
