Nigerdock Nigeria Plc Vacancy : Construction Engineer

Nigerdock Nigeria Plc, West Africa's leading Oil and Gas construction corporation currently seek rhe services of a suitable and qualified Construction Engineer. We also have an additional focus on major marine services including offshore and pressure vessels fabrication, ship building and repair, industrial training and specialized Oil & Gas and maritime support. It is strategically located on Snake Island Integrated Free Zone, an impressive industrial free zone facility and port development on an island in the coastal waterway of Lagos, with immediate access to open seas.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Construction Engineer (Lifting & Transportation)
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
  • To work closely with Project Management 1 earn, Rigging & Equipment Department and others to provide direction and guidance to construction sequences and methods.
  • To develop detailed procedures for lifting, movement and transportation including rigging and slinging details
  • Perform weight control engineering to ensure accuracy of weight and centre of gravity information.
  • To perform finite element analysis to ensure stresses and deflections do not exceed allowable limits.
  • Work with Rigging & Equipment Department on selection of equipment to be used.
Qualification and Experience
  • B.Eng. in any Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years Construction Engineering in the oil and gas construction industry.
  • Familiar with construction methods for Jackets, Decks and Piles, including methods of lifting, stacking, roll-up, weighing, load-out etc.
  • Familiar with intemational codes and standards governing steel construction (A1SC, DNV etc).
  • Software: Experienced im using structural analysis software Proficiency in Primavera 3 & 6, MS Projects.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description
  • Candidate would be accountable for the successful completion of Projects, must possess good Knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Conducting and Coordinating Projects.
  • Also, should be able to interface with Project Stakeholders including Client and Contract Technical and Project Teams.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, review and check all technical specifications and work scopes of Contract documents on the project.
  • Identify and process variation orders
  • Develop Project execution plan, method statements, fabrication procedures and fabrication sequence.
  • Generation of Project Technical Query Request(TQR) and Work method statements.
  • Review GA drawings, shop drawings and weld maps.
  • Monitor work progress on the fab. shop
  • Identify Change orders for deviation.
  • Manage internal and external interfaces on the project.
  • Review and update work progress with planning team.
Qualification, Experience and Skill
  • B.Eng. in any Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years minimum, 3 of which must be in Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
