NLNG Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme 2015

Nigeria LNG  is pleased to call for applications from qualified candidates into the NLNG Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for entry into Masters Programmes in the United Kingdom in September 2015. The Scheme is administered by British Council Nigeria.

Nigeria LNG Limited Post- Graduate Scholarship Scheme 2015

Criteria for Award
Potential beneficiaries must:
  • Be entering into a Masters programme in Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law and Medicine
  • Possess a 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study
  • Have completed the NYSC programme
  • Be no more than 30 years of age
  • Be Nigerian nationals resident in Nigeria
  • Provide identification documents from their L.G.As
  • Must possess an international passport valid for travel at least one year from September 2015.
  • Provide evidence that they are available to travel in September 2015 if selected.

Completed application form, along with an attached colour passport photograph of applicant should be submitted via email to: nlngpgscholarship@ng.britishcouncil.org

Please do not attach any documents to the completed application form. Only application forms accompanied by a single passport photograph will be considered.

Note:
  • Applications into the Nigeria LNG Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme will be received only via email; if you do not have regular access to the internet, you can download the form onto your personal computer and email it back after you have completed it. Only applications sent to: nlngpgscholarship@ng.britishcouncil.org will be considered. Exceptions will only be given to applicants with special needs.
The Selection Process
  • Candidates whose applications are successful will be invited to sit for a test. On the basis of the results of the test, applicants will be invited for interviews from which the final selection will be made, Please note that only those who make it into the various stages of the selection process will be contacted.

Shell Nigeria University Scholarship Award Scheme 2012/2013

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SHELL /TEPN/AGIP Joint Venture) Scholarship Scheme for 2012/2013, and offers first year students in all Nigerian universities the opportunity to study with an annual grant from the SPDC JV for the full duration of their course. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills-base among young Nigerians.

2012/2013 Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) Joint Venture University Scholarship Award Scheme

Who Can Apply?
  • Students must be citizens of Nigeria,
  • Currently enrolled in a first degree programme at an accredited and approved university in Nigeria, and
  • Must have gained admission during the 2012/2013 academic session.
Scholarship Types
The Scholarship is in two categories - the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award, East or West (OE or OW).

National Merit Award (NM)
  • Open to Nigerians who are not indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas (in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States).
Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE)
  • For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa states (excluding indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama local government areas).
Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW)
  • For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational area in Bayelsa (i.e indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government areas) and Delta States.
Application Closing Date
30th September, 2013.

How to Apply

  • All applicants should have their personal valid email accounts (for consistent communication).
  • Candidates who meet the above entry qualifications should apply online, at www.shellnigeria.com to provide required personal and educational details, and load scanned copies of the following:
  • A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant (i.e. jpeg format, that is not more than 200kilobytes);
  • University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;
  • ‘O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable; and
  • Letter of Identification from State (showing Local Government) of Origin.
  • Applicants for the Operational Area Awards (OE & OW) are to provide scanned copies of identification letters (duly stamped and signed) from;
  • The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and
  • The Chairman of the Community Development or Executive Council (CDC or CEC).
Please note that:
  • Shell does not demand payment from applicants, the application is entirely free of charge.
  • SPDC does not assign ‘Representatives’ / ‘Agents’ to assist applicants’ process applications.
  • Applications should be submitted online before September 30, 2013.
  • Only short listed candidates will be contacted.

NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship Programme 2013

NDDC welcome application from a determined candidates who which to embark on Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship
Scheme to equip Niger Deltans with relevant training and skills for
effective 

participation in the Local Content programme of the current
Administration as well as compete globally in 

various professional
fields.
The Scheme is for suitably qualified applicants with relevant
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree from recognized Universities in the following
professional disciplines:
  • Engineering
  • Medicine
  • Computer Science/Technology
  • Geology
  • Geosciences
  • Environmental Sciences
  • Agriculture
Applicants must have gained Post Graduate admission into a recognized University abroad.

Requirements for Application
1.) First Degree with minimum of 2nd Class Lower
Division for those wishing to undertake a master’s Degree programme and a
good Master’s Degree for PhD candidates from a recognized University.

2.) Gained Admission into a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines in a foreign University.

3.) Bond of good conduct from any of the following persons from the applicant’s community/clan.
  • Member of National Assembly
  • Chairman of the LGA.
  • First class traditional ruler.
  • High Court Judge
4.) Persons with evidence of cult membership or criminal record shall not be considered for the award.

How To Apply
1.)  Application must be made On-line at the Commission’s website: (www.nddc.gov.ng) with the following attachments:
  • Recent passport photograph
  • Local Government identification letter.
  • Post Graduate (PG) admission letter from Overseas University.
  • Relevant Degrees from recognized University
2.) Successfully completed application form will be assigned a registration number automatically.

3.) Print the hard copy of the on-line generated acknowledgment for ease of reference.

4.) All short-listed applicants will be posted on NDDC website. (www.nddc.gov.ng)
