We are recruiting to fill the following position:

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location:
 Lagos

Service Dimensions
  • Coordination and administration of assigned Site Modification Requests.
  • Apply standard project engineering and administration methods to Site Modification Requests.
Activities
  • Interface with various COMPANY stakeholders (e.g. HSE, FO, ECP, Logistics, etc.) to identify and consolidate a clear scope of work, contractual strategy, schedule, manpower requirements, long-lead items, etc.
  • Prepare project execution plans, typically including: project description, work breakdown structure, schedule, master document register, contractual and procurement strategy, and a detailed narrative of all engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and closure activities associated with the project.
  • Coordinate with the Project Services department in the development of cost estimates.
  • Interface and coordinate with subcontractors to obtain and consolidate information, e.g. input into project execution plans, weekly and monthly progress reports and other performance data, safety reports and statistics, manpower and schedule information, etc.
  • Review subcontractor project management documents and deliverables, e.g. project execution plans, schedules, proposals, progress reports, change orders, correspondence, etc.
  • Interface and coordinate with project entities (e.g. HSE, Engineering, QA/QC, C&P, subcontractors, etc.) to ensure project deliverables are achieved with respect to technical quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate the execution of Project Safety Reviews to ensure they are conducted as per COMPANY requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is handled as per existing DCC procedures, including coordinating document reviews using PRODOM.
  • Coordinate the receipt, distribution, and response of Technical Queries received from subcontractors.
  • Inform Technical Project Manager of project status, issues, and areas of concern on an ongoing, “real time” basis.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Take part in project meetings, and where required prepare presentations, record and distribute minutes, arrange meeting facilities, etc.
Context & Environment
  • Work location: Service is based in Lagos with occasional visits to FPSOs in Future.
  • Major clients: DW FO SMR Coordinator, DW HSE department.
  • Constraints: Failure to develop a sound scope of work or execution plan, or failure to identify and communicate project issues in a timely and effective manner, can result in severe impact on technical quality, schedule, and project costs.
  • Favorable Factors: Goal-based approach to management allowing for flexibility to adopt own Working methods and practices.
Accountabilities
  • Compliance with DW ECP HSE KPI & Objective and assist DW ECP in compliance with overall TUCN HSE requirement
  • Ensures effective and timely coordination and administration of Site Modification Requests using standard project engineering methods and in accordance with COMPANY requirements.
  • Prepares accurate reports processed through PRODOM.
  • Participates in project meetings.
Qualifications / Experience Required
  • Minimum Qualification: Professional experience of 10 years minimum in Petroleum industry. Previous project engineering experience of 5 years minimum
  • Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages

Job Description
  • Candidate would be accountable for the successful completion of Projects, must possess good Knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Conducting and Coordinating Projects.
  • Also, should be able to interface with Project Stakeholders including Client and Contract Technical and Project Teams.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, review and check all technical specifications and work scopes of Contract documents on the project.
  • Identify and process variation orders
  • Develop Project execution plan, method statements, fabrication procedures and fabrication sequence.
  • Generation of Project Technical Query Request(TQR) and Work method statements.
  • Review GA drawings, shop drawings and weld maps.
  • Monitor work progress on the fab. shop
  • Identify Change orders for deviation.
  • Manage internal and external interfaces on the project.
  • Review and update work progress with planning team.
Qualification, Experience and Skill
  • B.Eng. in any Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years minimum, 3 of which must be in Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Hamilton Lloyd and Associates is currently recruiting for its client on the position of a Project Engineer - Our Client is an indigenous Oil Exploration and Production Company with a focus on West Africa and the Gulf of Guinea as its core production areas. The company is registered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) as a contractor of preference in the supply of key equipment in the oil and gas industry. They are also in joint venture partnerships with some indigenous oil and gas companies. They have decided to hire an Project Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
  • Confers with engineers, managers, customers, and others to discuss project, prepare documents, or modify contract schedules.
  • To liaise with Clients on a regular basis and develop sound business relationships
  • To follow-up with Clients on submitted tenders through clarification & negotiation to project award and provide sales after care support to project managers.
  • Participate in the production of department and Company plans and budgets
  • Tendering project management responsibilities for supervision of the Commercial Assistants to ensure schedules, deadlines and quality are met
  • To keep informed about Company’s capacities and capabilities in business lines and in general.
Profile
